– Apply a warm compress to your abdomen and lower back to soothe menstrual cramps. To create a compress, simply fill a bowl with 1 cup of warm water and 5 drops of oil. Next, soak a 100% cotton cloth in the water, wring out the water and apply to the desired area. A warm compress will be about the temperature you use to wash your face, not scalding hot and not ice cold. The compress may get cold after several minutes of use so you may want to add some more warm water to your bowl as you rewet and reapply.
